If I could dance without two left feet

I would twirl around the room with you

If I could sing despite my lack of voice

If I could make you laugh, like you have made me

Awakened

As I lay down to sleep

I know of what I’ll dream

Recalled will be the enchantment

Before its ripping at the seam

In this abridged fantasy

I recollect the way we’d thread

The prelude of our friendship

And let it fill my head

Us together bounding

So far through the trees

Dodging in and out

Defending one another’s pleas

Your sweet disposition

Emitting warmth with just a touch

Now gives me chills

With one crowning laugh
